The Structural Building Components Association of South Florida is the component industry's voice to government, schools and the construction industry. Our chapter works with building departments providing expert knowledge and assistance in formulating and interpreting building codes and enforcement. We work with builders to improve the construction industry, and we offer educational classes with CEU credit for building professionals.
The metal plate connected wood truss industry began in South Florida in the early 1950s, and you should see how far we've come! An engineered building component that can withstand hurricane winds, the roof truss is more economical than conventional framing and now dominates the roof construction market. Our members also manufacture floor trusses and wall panels and distribute building materials. If you would like more information on structural building components, please contact a chapter member or contact a chapter officer. |
